Sicán or Lambayeque culture:
Its origin is explained mythically through Naylamp legend. Sicán word means''House of the Moon''and its principal investigator and the most important was the Japanese Izumi Shimada.

It was located in the present department of Lambayeque, in the forests of Pómac and Batan Grande.
The Lambayeque were developed between 700 A.D. and 1350 A.D. on the north coast, with the first center of Batan Grande area (900 - 1000 AD) and then 10 miles to the southwest to Túcume (1100 - 1350 AD) and its limits as far north as Piura and south valley Chicama. Its origins date back to the end of the Moche culture, through the influence of the Huari and Cajamarca, so that it originated a new style ceramic and iconographic.
